New Year Alpha Course
St Nicolas Church is running a new Alpha Course in January 2017.
Alpha takes you on a journey of discovery, freely exploring the basics of the Christian faith over a series of interactive sessions. It gives you the opportunity to discuss the big questions in life.
Each afternoon session will start at 4pm with time for a chat over tea & cake followed by an engaging, short talk and ends with a discussion (with more tea or coffee!) where you can share your thoughts.
On Sunday 8th January we'll be having a Try Alpha afternoon. This is a chance to find out a bit more about Alpha and what it involves. If at this session, or any other, you think Alpha isn't for you, that's not a problem.
There's no pressure, no follow up and no charge.
Alpha will continue on a series of Sunday afternoons, running from 4pm-5.30pm with time to chat over hot drinks afterwards too.
We understand that having young children can mean you don't get much time for yourself, and even less to explore the big questions! We want to make coming to Alpha as easy & enjoyable as possible for parents. So, we will provide child care for 0-10s* during Alpha sessions. If your child requires a nappy change during a session we will need to come and get you to change their nappy. This will include optional craft activities, free-play & games time, a crèche area for babies and a story. We will also provide a simple tea (sandwiches etc.) for the children so that you have one less thing to worry about when you get home!
