Bookham Village Day - Out of this World!

Come and join in the fun at Bookham Village Day on Saturday 17 June when Space Age is the novel theme, The day begins at 11.40am with the big parade down the High Street and Church Road when children from local playgroups and schools will interpret the theme in a variety of ways, with non-stop music from jazz and steel bands.

 The parade reaches the Old Barn Hall field in Church Road around noon with lots of attractions and entertainment throughout the afternoon including a 'Buckin’ Bronco’ sponsored by Elio's/Di Carlo's. Bocketts Farm will be bringing along some of their small animals. There will be music and refreshments of every kind (including an open-air bar) and non-stop arena entertainment. The Vineries Garden Centre, main sponsors of Village Day, will have a colourful display of plants for sale in the car park.

 Village Day is followed by a week of activities during Village Week including Open Gardens on Sunday 18 June,  Mole Valley Silver Band's summer concert on Monday 19 June at 8pm and a family barn dance on Friday 23 June at 7.30pm. Admission is £5 adults, children £3. Tickets available from Margaret on 454101 or the Old Barn Hall, where all the events take place.
