Celebration of local produce and crafts - the Bookham, Fetcham and District Garden Society Show

Come and join the Bookham, Fetcham and District Garden Society at the beautifully restored Tithe Barn in Manor House Lane, Little Bookham as they celebrate the best of locally grown vegetables, fruit and flowers and homemade preserves, cakes etc as well as the the craft and photographic sections.

The Bookham, Fetcham and District Garden Society will be holding their annual show on Saturday 15th July.  For those entering, the set up will be between 9 and 10.30am and the show will be open to the public between 2  and 4.  Even if you are not entering, this is a unique opportunity for you to enjoy this  beautiful occasion and enjoy tea and delicious cakes in this stunning venue.

Members and non-members and particularly youngsters and children are invited to enter the show and you do not need to be a professional grower. Everyone can find at least one category to enter, so look around your garden or vegetable patch or perhaps your windowbox  and see what you can enter.  For those keen on flower arranging, handwork, painting or photography, there is sure to be a category for you.  If you bake, make jams or preserves, be sure to enter the domestic category and let’s see how many children have nasturtiums, herbs, beans, radishes or perhaps a cress man, a minature garden, an animal made of vegetable or fruit  to show, or would like to bake a family of gingerbread people.

For more details of the categories, timing and how to enter, please contact Angela Stevens on 01372 456713 or by email at craigjrstevens@aol.com or Anita Laycock on 01372 750818 or email anitalaycock@gmail.com  If you have never done something like this before and would to find out details of how to prepare produce for showing or how to help your children prepare for their categories, email Jennifer Smitheman on smithemanjennifer@gmail.com
