Effingham and Leatherhead RFC., known as the ‘Eagles’, are based at Browns Lane, Effingham, just a couple of miles from Bookham.  We are a competitive, but social rugby Club.

The Mini Section, from U6 to U12s, is one of the largest in the South East of England with 200 boys and girls participating each week.  We train at home on a Sunday morning from 10.00am to 1200 noon. As well as training at home on a Sunday we also enter various local rugby festivals throughout the season and hold joint training sessions with some of our neighbouring clubs around Surrey.

The Junior Section puts out teams at all age groups from U13s to U18s competing in the Surrey Leagues. League and non-league matches are played home and away on a Sunday and midweek training sessions will take place on a Tuesday or Thursday.

All age groups in Mini and Junior Sections have fully qualified RFU coaches and they are coached in a safe environment in accordance with the RFU Rules and Guidelines.

Our Senior Section regularly fields three teams, with our 1st XV one of Surrey's premier league sides playing in London 2 South West. We are always looking for players in all positions and of all playing abilities and ages capable of playing in one of our senior teams.  Training is at Browns Lane on Tuesdays and Thursdays, under floodlights, starting at 7.30pm.

The Club has one main aim, to provide a chance for rugby players whatever their age and standard to play and enjoy the game and to enjoy the rewards that the Club has to offer.  If you want to get involved with The Eagles why not come down to our clubhouse on Browns Lane or get in touch.
